Orient Watches
Orient Men's Multi-Eyes Black Automatic Watch #CET05001B
In my opinion, this collection is one of the most stunning classic watches that Orient has to offer. It has a very clean and simple design but looks sophisticated. What I love most about this watch is the 3-tone design on the surface of the dial (face). The textures of the inner dial, as well as the outer dial, complement well with the texture of the sub-dials. The dial has many attributes that make this watch into a successful timepiece. Features such as the date indicator (located at the 6 o’clock position,) the day sub-dial (located near the 2 o’clock position,) and the 24-hour sub-dial makes you value such a work of art. If you want to adjust the date, you must first loosen the crown (time-setting knob) located at the 4 o’clock position. You will notice that there are 2 levels to the crown. The first level adjusts the date indicator, while the second level adjusts the time and the date of week. The hour and minute hands are both luminescent so you may view the time in the dark. When adjusting the time, you will see that the 24-hour sub-dial corresponds with the movement of the hour hand. The crown comes with the engraved Orient logo and shoulders for protection. This automatic watch runs on the power stored within the spring of the watch. As the owner wears the watch, the spring naturally stores power. This watch is also water-resistant for up to 50 meters. Bands and clasps are important aspects to a watch as they can provide a nice feel and should compliment the rest of the watch’s vibrant design. For this watch, the band is engineered to focus on comfort. The metal band comes with both matte and finished links. This provides a two-toned shine to the rest of the watch. Next to the dial, you will see that the first two links are tapered followed by untapered links. The deployment clasp for this collection adds security so that the watch does not come off unintentionally. The three dial-color variations to this watch come in: black, navy blue, or white.
Orient Men's Automatic Day and Date White Stainless Steel Watch #CEM5J005W
About Orient: Orient Watch was formally established in July 13th, 1950 in Tokyo. However, the history of Orient Watch really dates back to 1901, when Shogoro Yoshida, the founder of Orient, opened a wholesale watch store in Ueno, Japan. Orient Watch has always focused on mechanical watches, primarily automatic watches with its own in-house automatic movements Orient was once part of the "Big Three" watch companies in Japan along with Citizen and Seiko. In the 70s, when mechanical watch companies faced hardship from the mass introduction of inexpensive quartz watches, Citizen and Seiko took the path of mass producing quartz watches, Orient stuck with what it did best, making mechanical watches. Today, Seiko owns a controlling stake in Orient. Orient, however, continues to make its own mechanical movements. For its quartz models, it uses Seiko's quartz movements. What sets Orient apart from other watch companies is really the fact that Orient has always been focusing on making its mechanical movements better and more reliable. It is unusual today to find a watch company that makes its own movement selling watches at prices offered by Orient. Most of the watch companies that do make in-house movements are big name specialized watch companies such as Patek Philippe whose watches ranges from tens of thousands of dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars. To find a specialized watch company that uses in-house movements selling its watches at prices that are affordable to most people is truly refreshing.

Orient Men's 'Blue Mako' Automatic Dive Watch #CEM65002D
This diver series is the most popular collection that Orient has to offer. A feature that makes this model into a professional diver watch is its water-resistance of up to 200 meters. This is perfect for you if you enjoy scuba diving on your vacations to Hawaii. You will notice that this watch combines the timeless design of the dial with the sporty look of the bezel to create a work of art. This collection of diver watch is all mechanical. The dial for this watch comes with both day and date indicators located at the 3 o’clock position. The day indicator is adjusted by unscrewing the push-button, located on the 2 o’clock position, and pushing the button for the specific day. Orient Men's Wide-Calendar Black Automatic Watch #CEV09002B
This diver's watch will satisfy both professionals and diving enthusiasts who seek the genuine equipment for deep diving. There are many different types of diving, including skin diving such as snorkeling, diving with equipment such as scuba diving, and specialized diving for deep-sea salvage or drilling underwater oilfields. This product is aimed primarily at the specialized diving used for deep-sea salvage and oilfield drilling and compatible with saturation diving. To fully understand this watch, we must first explore the effects of saturation diving and the requirements of a saturation watch, which you can read down further below. This watch has time and power reserve indicator as their major functions. At full charge, the watch’s power reserve is 40 hours, which means who can wear it every other day. The Power Reserve indicator, which you can see near the 12 position on the dial, is a guage that lets you know how much power the spring has, in useful units of hours. The dial color is black and has large luminescent hour indexes so that the user can read the time underwater. The crystal used in this watch is over 5mm in thickness. This watch has a special case design that prevents the penetration of helium gas. This means that the internal pressure hardly rises at all, eliminating the need for an escape valve. The diver no longer has to use a valve to adjust the pressure inside the case when diving or surfacing. The watch has a water resistant design that is effective up to a depth of 300 meters (984 feet), with a strong exterior made from "SUS316L" material, which has excellent corrosion resistance. The caseback is screwed in by design with Orient’s traditional lion emblem, which requires a special caseback opener. The watch has a large crown and rotating bezel, which makes it easy to operate even when wearing gloves. The band also comes with a new type of buckle that allows the watch to be put on in a one-touch operation. The buckle also is easy extendible, so that that you do not need to constantly resize the watch for your wetsuit. As well as when worn directly on the wrist, it also fits well over a wide variety of diving wear. What is Saturation Diving? Normally, a human breathes in an environment of atmospheric pressure (1 atmosphere). When pressure increases during a dive, inert gases from the air (such as nitrogen and helium) are breathed in and absorbed in the body's tissues. Nitrogen is particularly dangerous because when a large amount is absorbed in the bloodstream it has a narcotic effect. Even worse, nitrogen forms bubbles in the blood during decompression and may result in death. With saturation diving, prior to a long dive the diver is exposed to helium instead of the dangerous nitrogen. The driver's body absorbs as much helium as possible to create a safe saturation condition in his/her body. To create this condition before a saturation dive, the diver enters a DDC (Deck Decompression Chamber) on the surface together with his/her equipment (including his/her watch). In this chamber, the pressure is increased as required in a mixed-gas atmosphere of oxygen and helium. The diver then moves to a predetermined water pressure in an SDC (Submersible Decompression Chamber), from which he emerges to perform the required work. When returning to the surface, this procedure is reversed to slowly decompress the diver. What is a Saturation Diving Watch? If a watch with a regular water resistant design is worn during saturation diving, small helium gas molecules could penetrate the gasket and enter the inside of the watch. This would raise the internal pressure and break the watch when surfacing. To resolve this issue, most watches either have an escape valve that is used to adjust the internal pressure as required, or use materials in watch parts such as the gasket that make it difficult for the helium to penetrate.

Orient Men's Semi-Skeleton Red Automatic Watch #CDBAA004H
The next line of Orient’s mechanical watches is the semi-skeleton. This particularly stylish line is more fashion forward than most watches. The trendy look of this watch is well matched with the intricacy of its designs. Moreover, you can just tell that this watch combines mechanical ingenuity with fashionable elegance to create a beautiful timepiece. This particular set of watches is put above the rest because of its bold designs, which include bold numerals on the dial and a rare case shape. You will notice that the case has an appealing dome crystal shape that complements the curvature of the owner’s wrist. The exhibition caseback has its own genuine Orient stamp logo followed by the watch’s serial number. The purpose of the exhibition caseback is so that the owner is able to the view the complications that are powering the watch. Likewise, the purpose of the exhibition holes of the dial allows the owner to look into the internal part of the watch. Since this watch is an automatic, it is powered by the spring of the watch. You can find the dial orient logo above the exhibition hole near the 9 o’clock position. Other interesting features include the 60-minute and 30-minute numerals marked below the 12 o’clock position and above the 6 o’clock position, and the Orient logo on the crown, and the luminescent hour and minute indicators. There are 2 different variations of metal for the case. One of the models comes in gunmetal black, while the other variation comes in the classic stainless steel color. Model variation differs on the color of the dial, leather, and case. The distinctions between these fashion watches offer variety and choice to match the owner’s taste. One variation comes in gunmetal with a black leather band and a black dial. The other gunmetal case watch comes in a red dial with red-stitched black leather band. The stainless steel case watches have a variation of black dial on black leather band, brown dial on brown leather band, or white dial on brown leather band. Located in the dial are the 2 exhibition holes that are over both the stem and the balance wheel. The watch line comes with a remarkably designed leather band. You will notice the double-stitch lining just above and below the case. This particular design is intended to emphasize the genuine leather of the watch. One of the watch variations with a red dial also comes with red stitching on the leather band. The clasp for this watch is a pull-off buckle that includes the bold Orient label.
